Building Information Management

BIM provides a Project Information Model enabling a virtual design and construction methodology. mac uses Revit and BIM to advance the design model to handover status through the following integrated delivery processes:

• Advanced Design Development – Interactive visualization of the finished building before commencement on site
• Coordination and Clash Avoidance – Collaboration methods which address any errors long before they have any bearing on costs or schedule
• Documentation – EIR response, BIM execution plans and further documentation required by PAS1192 2
• Common Data Environment – In compliance with BS1192:2007
• Level of detail definition – Developed to the required level of detail /definition
• As-Built Status – Point cloud and survey verification
• Level of Information – Integration of COBie parameters and outputs
• Facilities Management – Cost reductions through BIM based O+M

mac-group have 4 BREEAM rated projects with 2 additional projects ongoing. Our in-house Environmental team work closely with our project teams to ensure that all requirements are met to ensure a successful certification. mac will continue to work towards adding BREEAM rated buildings to our resume with our growing presence in the UK.

This third-party certification assesses a building’s environmental, social and economic sustainability performance, using standards developed by BRE. BREEAM rated developments are sustainable environments that enhance the wellbeing of those who live and work in them, help protect natural resources and make for attractive property investments.
